Another event announcement: Our own Beth Dessner will be available on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9-11 AM for free injury screenings for member athletes. This service is primarily for those who have a nagging injury or for those who are looking for ways to improve their flexibility in certain muscle groups. In addition, she would be happy to provide suggestions on how to adapt exercises to accommodate limitations you may have due to chronic musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., arthritis, shoulder instability, etc.). Beth is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist with the Board of Physical Therapy Specialties of the American Physical Therapy Association and also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Today we're going to get ripped, just like all those muscle men in the action flick, "300". Well, maybe we won't be ripped after one WOD, but we will be more powerful! Our broad jump feet positioning will inform our deadlift position, putting us in a position of power. This is particularly true if our butts are down and chests are up with a flat back!
