Christmas party shenanigans |
Reminder
Our Holiday Hours start THURSDAY, 12/24.
What a fun weekend for Warrior Nation! First, congrats to all our competitors at The QCCF Christmas Classic. It was a brutal day-and-a-half of tough WODs -- SIX total over the course of Friday night and Saturday. Y'all are troopers for showing up for the Christmas party when I'm sure you would have preferred holding down the couch at home.
Jacob, Kyle, and I could not be more thankful for each and every one of our athletes, friends, and family that make the WCFM community so fun and generous. Our jobs do not feel like work. Thank you all for another year of putting the "fun" in functional fitness.
And, in case you missed it, here is Coach Jacob's Year End Toast to all of you...
At The Margins
Don't let people put you in a box
It's hot, it's stuffy, It's not meant for a fox
We spend our lives being told to do this and not that--
Don't let people put you in a box
It's hot, it's stuffy, It's not meant for a fox
We spend our lives being told to do this and not that--
that we should
sit at a desk all day, here drink this soda--it will make you happy and
fat.
For whatever reason, the paradigm shifts.

The sedentary third place is replaced with cardio and lifts.
From wall balls to thrusters to calorie rows for time,
From wall balls to thrusters to calorie rows for time,
each and every one of you has the capacity to grind.
This community is forged, your parents matter not,
This community is forged, your parents matter not,
as we work to overcome the obstacles that have been brought.
We laugh together, sweat together, and sometimes shed tears,
We laugh together, sweat together, and sometimes shed tears,
as many of us have now been together for a number of years.
So set goals and push the limits in 2016,
So set goals and push the limits in 2016,
I wouldn't trade any of you in -- even for a 315 lb clean.
