Burpees! Burpees! Burpees!
You'll hear us say "It's supposed to be hard." And it IS. Each WOD is designed to push your limits. And there are no easy WODs.  You are weakest at the margins of your talents. Long-distance runners excel at the aerobic long-haul and typically struggle with quick bursts of energy required for sprinting a 50-yard dash. Because sprinting is at the margins of what a long-distance runner needs to do. Yeah, the finish line prompts a marathoner to increase the turnover of their stride; however, that end-of-race push will never match the turnover of a sprinter's stride. The same goes for a sprinter - they excel at anaerobic quick bursts and struggle at extending their pace efficiently for the long haul. CrossFit is ALL about closing in the margins, crafting each CrossFit athlete into a generalist that excels at most everything, without specializing in anything.

So the point of this? Decreasing the margins requires growing pains. It requires commitment. As soon as you walk in our door, we're expecting your full, committed effort for the day's WOD. It also requires listening to your body and taking rest days. We expect a full effort, and your fellow athletes expect you to go as hard as they do, leaving a a beautiful sweat angel on the mats when you're done. Nothing without effort, Warriors. Shrink those margins and be ready for anything.
