Another Amazing Competition Day
We had 32 two-person teams compete at our first ever Garage Games Mighty Mississippi Partner Mash-Up this past Saturday. Full results are available here.Thanks to our top-notch team of Warrior volunteers, we were able to run another smoothly-coordinated competition event at our box. Special thanks goes to the following:
- For providing our free gifts with registration: Kyle Bass, for the awesome trucker hats; and Brenda Cook, for the stylin' beer coozies.
- For deep cleaning the gym and making it the best it has ever looked: Chantelle and Patrick Kelsall, Emoji, Jordan Raidl, and Julie B for trash duty on game day.
- For keeping her cool under pressure and providing timely and accurate heat results throughout the day: Becky Holst.
- For her swagger, style, and showmanship in presenting the WODs: Melanie "Bruja" Moore.
- For her chemistry expertise: Shannon Stout.
- For breaking the clock and allowing Coach Jacob to practice his extraordinary shouting skills: The ghost in the machine.
- For 1st place medallions that feel like a midget is hangin' from my necklace: Heather Kanzaki.
- For creating those one-of-a-kind and hard-earned 2nd and 3rd place trophies: My sweet wife, Coach Sarah.
- For keeping your composure and staying consistent: our amazing volunteer judges. We know judging is tough work. It is often mind-numbing, and athletes are not always appreciative when they are aerobically depleted and irrational.
- For taking ownership of this event and making our best one yet: Our amazing Warrior CrossFit Muscatine community. You humble us and astonish us with your spirits every. single. day.
