Kelli in mid-Curtis P.
Volleyball at 8:30 PM tonight on Court A!

It's graduation season and of course it's time to look at celebrity commencement speeches. Let's listen to a sampling of them. What would you say to the Class of 2012?

Today is a strength day. We're attacking The CrossFit Total once more, which is a great opportunity for assessing progress or establishing a baseline for future assessment. It is not timed, therefore it is an even greater opportunity for focusing on form and technique. Ultimately, the intent is to hit a 1 RM (one rep max) for each lift with only THREE (3) attempts at each lift.

For our seasoned Warriors, start with a medium-heavy weight for the first attempt at the lift, then for the second attempt a weight close to (but not over) your last 1 RM for that lift. Finally, put at least 5 pounds over your last 1 RM on the bar for your 3rd attempt.

For Warriors that have not logged a lot of lift time with us (yet), this is a great time to practice these lifts and establish a baseline 1 RM for each of them. Knowing what weights you can lift is invaluable for future WODs as it gets you more comfortable knowing how to load your workouts each week.

WOD
1 Back squat
1 Shoulder Press
1 Deadlift
