CrossFit uses a whole other language sometimes. So much so that a conversation between two veteran CrossFitters can sounds like a foreign language. We throw around acronyms like "AMRAP" and "WOD". We use words like "snatch" and "clean". That's why we have a handy glossary of commonly used acronyms on our white board by the rowers and we have a link to commonly used terms on our Resources Page. Because we use this terminology and CrossFit "language" all the time, get familiar with it and use it to keep it fresh in your mind. Say the name of a movement prior to or during a movement if that helps you remember. Half the battle with CrossFit is becoming familiar with the movements and their names. Knowing how to move your body helps you move it better, for longer. Because CrossFit is training for life. A longer life.
