2nd Annual Barbells for Boobs

OMG. WHAT a fun day on Saturday!! Huge, huge, HUGE thanks to everyone that came out and WOD'ed their hearts out for the boobies. We had nearly 20 participants and our very own Scott Schultz earned some more donations, resulting in 600 burpees (one burpee for each dollar he raised). After 80 minutes he completed them and as of Sunday night, we raised over $4,000 as a community. That means we helped fund 41 mammograms for people in need! Thank you to our participants and thank you to everyone that donated. We continue collecting donations through the end of the month. Additionally, because we exceeded our goal of raising $3,000, Barbells for Boobs designated WCFM an Official Support Team, which earns us an exclusive banner to hang high at WCFM letting everyone know that we are an integral part in the mission to save lives through the early detection of breast cancer, regardless of one's age, gender or ability to pay. Further, every dollar we raise through the end of the month brings us one step closer toward becoming a stop on next year's Pink Bra Tour. It also brings us closer to our top prize - a personalized grant named after our box and perchance a visit from a Reebok CrossFit Games Athlete. 



As always, your support and enthusiasm as a community is humbling and inspiring. It keeps Jacob and I doing what we love to do - bringing people together through fitness that is fun and functional for life.
