Katie and Shannon after the Kinnick to Kinnick 5K
Cindy Klebe would like to remind everyone that gave blood during our blood drive that
you are now eligible to give again!
Dude, there are usually COOKIES involved.
Find a drive near you TODAY!

Well, y'all, it's been a while since I ranted last, so let's talk about the white board that some of y'all follow so religiously. You might remember this gem of an article we posted late last week. Basically it tells us this: there is a bigger white board out there and your goals need to match it. Take a look in your binders. Look at your goals on that first page. Look at the 1RMs you have written down. Look at the weaknesses you STILL HAVE all these weeks, months, and years later. Why are they still weaknesses? Are you avoiding WODs with the movements you hate? Are you defeating your progress before you even start by half-assing your effort? "Well, I'll never be any good at snatch, so why even bother trying to improve?" Are you avoiding mobility work because it's boring and doesn't always feel good (even though you always feel better after attacking those crunchy places)? Be honest with yourself. Take away the excuses. Your lack of progress is not because someone else is stronger than you, or better at cardio than you, or cheating more reps than you. Your lack of progress is not because you don't have the capacity, ability, or potential. Your lack of progress is because you choose not focus on your weaknesses and push yourself. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable, y'all, because that's life.
